I've read and get to know about Endless Pools for the last two years, and been actually looking for the dealers here in Malaysia to no avail. Earlier this year, I came to know that EndLess Pools has an authorized dealer here and the best thing is that their showroom is nearby to our own private swim center. Last Saturday, I had the time to actually go to their showroom and had my own 'test swim'. This is my first time experience with Endless Pools, and honestly, I do hope it's better than other swim machine I've tried earlier. What is Endless Pool and why I am so interested in it?

Personally, I've encountered all these problems, long before I became an instructor, and eventhough that now I have my own "not so big" above ground pool. So, to know about a product called swimming machine that works like a treadmill, it triggered my interest. And after we've seriously conducting private swim lessons, the desire has grown bigger. I started researching for such products and found out about few brands and types of swim machine. Swim machine is like having a treadmill in swimming pool. It allows us to swim as long as we want, just like running on a treadmill. Same concept here.
But really, there are not many of them, especially locally (as swimming is not a favorite choice of exercise here..yet). I've got the chance to try using them, I meant test swim them. I don't really gets excited. It's just another ordinary swim machine.
Then I got to know that locally, we have distributor for this EndLess Pools. Luckily, their showroom is near to our office in PJ. But even it's near, it took me almost 2 months to finally be able to visit their showroom and test swim the EndLess Pools myself. I went there last Saturday (19th June 2010) and spending about 15-25 minutes testing the swim machine.
What I Think About Endless Pools?
Personally, my first stroke is a little bit shocking, but in good way. I've tried some other swim machines of other brands, and it's too much flow of bubbles rushing towards your face. I need more time adjusting and comforting myself before starting my swim strokes. But when swimming in EndLess Pools, i was shocked that eventhough it produce continuous flows of current, I can barely feel it. It was so smooth. Let's not talk about technical features of the product, I just simply like the idea of swimming as long as my stamina allows, without turning, stopping, with comfort and it's all at our own home. It's so free, endless joy in swimming. And shockingly, within that 15-25 minutes of merely a test swim (I swam all strokes except for backstroke), I felt like completing a 1km swim workout.
Will I Purchase An Endless Pool?
Absolutely. It's already in my purchase list, hopefully by end of this year. It's not only good for my exercise regiment (if there is a regiment), but it was more to the benefits of our students in AquaDolf Swimming. Imagine to have a personal, private coaching where the instructors will be by your side at all time, while you were swimming and many more benefits.
Have A Test Swim
Buying a swim machine is like buying a car. You have to test it first. Take my words, there's no harm and obligation for trying. Furthermore, it's free. Just contact their authorized dealer and talk to Mr. Yap. He's such a friendly man and will be at your service. Arrange a suitable time for your test swim visit. How to Make the Most of Your Test Swim
~ Feel free to bring your goggles, aqua aerobics weights, kick board, floatation belt and other pool toys.
~ Get into the pool to see how easy it is to adjust to swimming or exercising in place.
~ Think about how you would like to use your pool. Try different strokes, water walking, aqua exercise, relaxing and having fun.
~ Bring a towel and bathing suit. Please shower before your swim, and please refrain from using personal care products or hair products.
~ Notice the size and depth to see which configuration would work for you.
