What is the age limit to sign up?
For kids, recommended age is from 6 years. The reason to this is because we found that kids below 6 will take longer time to learn. This is the fact that some parents do not understand. However, for kids below 6, we'll conduct a free evaluation class, to see whether the kids is suitable to take up swimming class.
UPDATE: We do have kids class for 3-5 years old kids.
For adults, no best age to learn..the time is NOW!
Are kids class cheaper?
Sorry, the fees would be the same. In fact, it's harder to teach kids due to their short attention span we could get from them.
UPDATE: We have revised the fees structure, and yes, kids are now cheaper. :)
Who are considered as "KIDS"?
Kids - 7 to 12 years old
Adults - 13 and above (adult rates)
What to wear, can I just wear tracks, shorts, and t-shirt?
No, you have to wear proper swimming attire, with goggles and swim cap. This is to maintain pool cleanliness.
Why do we have to wear swim cap and goggle?
Besides to maintain pool cleanliness wearing a cap is to keep the hair out of your face and for better and smooth movement when you're in water. Wearing a goggle is to protect your eyes and to prevent sore eyes, especially if you happen to have sensitive eyes. However, it is also equally important for you not to become reliant on them. At times, we might need you to learn to swim without goggles for safety reasons e.g. if the case you accidentally fall in.
Besides the above, what else should I bring?
For beginners class, you should also bring your own kickboard. For Intermediate class (Freestyle), you might be needing a pull buoy and fin.
I'm wearing spectacles, will that be a problem?
Not at all. You can use high quality goggle with your contact lens. Or buy an optical goggle.
Class frequency?
Classes held maximum twice a week. One hour per session
UPDATE: Classes for 3-5 years old kids duration is 30 minutes, due to their short attention span.
UPDATE: If you want to speed up your learning process, you can make further arrangements to have your class to be conducted several times a week
Why can't it be more than 1 hour per lesson?
This is private class, where our attention is solely on you and/or your partner. And swimming might be little bit tiring for most beginners and from our experience, most students will get exhausted after one hour.
Course duration?
8 lessons, once a week (to be completed within 3 months)
